BIM and Steel Structures in Practice – KÉSZ Romania’s Presentation at the National Steel Structures Conference

Between April 15–16, the 18th National Steel Structures Conference took place in Cluj-Napoca, organized under the “Building with Steel” initiative by the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. KÉSZ România participated as a gold-category sponsor.

Our company was represented by Péter Virág, Deputy Technical Director, and Nándor Nagy, Engineer and Site Manager, through a joint professional presentation. Their case study highlighted the main challenges and solutions in steel structure assembly, using examples from three key projects: the steel structure of the wellness center under construction in Covasna, the façade of the Artificial Intelligence Research Center in Cluj-Napoca, and the recently completed Knauf Insulation factory.

The presentation emphasized in particular the application of BIM levels and how efficient coordination and interoperability can be ensured among all project stakeholders – investor, designers, contractor, and subcontractors.
