Kálnoky Castle Regains Its Splendor in Valea Crișului, Sfântu Gheorghe

The rehabilitation of this historic building marks a significant milestone in preserving the region’s built heritage, aiming to safeguard the castle’s original values while ensuring its long-term, sustainable use.

Bartalis Szilárd, site manager at KÉSZ Romania, and Count Tibor Kálnoky, founder of the Kálnoky Foundation, shared an update on the works, highlighting the importance of harmonizing professional execution with heritage preservation requirements.

The project is progressing on schedule, with the renovation expected to be completed by summer 2026, allowing Kálnoky Castle to once again serve the community and contribute to the region’s cultural and tourism development.
