KÉSZ Romania Engineers at the AICPS 2025 Conference
The AICPS National Conference, one of the most important professional forums for engineering in Romania, has concluded.
Several of our colleagues attended the event, two of whom – Attila Kovács and János Patrik – also participated as speakers.
In his presentation, Attila highlighted that cracks can appear at the ends and corners of walls in the slabs, outside the critical zones specified by the standard. Using nonlinear finite element modeling, he demonstrated that these areas require special attention for a safe and durable structural design.
Patrik’s presentation analyzed changes in the standards for designing earthquake-resistant reinforced concrete walls (CR2 2013/2022 vs. Eurocode 2 and 8 – 2004/2024) and their practical impact on sizing, finite element modeling, and reinforcement principles. He showed how the new regulations make wall design more precise and resilient, especially in seismic risk areas.
We are proud of our colleagues, who, through their presentations, not only demonstrated their professional expertise but also represented the engineering excellence of KÉSZ Romania to the specialized audience and contributed to the success of the conference!
