Successful Completion of the Knauf Insulation Factory Construction in Târnăveni

A world-class insulation materials factory has been built in Târnăveni, with KÉSZ Romania involved as the general contractor.

KÉSZ Romania acted as the general contractor in the construction of Knauf Insulation’s most modern technological facility in Central and Eastern Europe, located in Târnăveni. The investment combined world-class expertise with the most advanced industrial solutions and a commitment to sustainability.

The project, valued at over 140 million euros, resulted in a factory with an annual capacity of 75,000 tons of basalt mineral wool, meeting the demands of the local and regional insulation materials market. Products manufactured using ECOSE® technology set a new standard for energy-efficient and environmentally friendly construction.

The project was implemented through an integrated design and execution approach, supported by KÉSZ Romania’s digital project management system. This allowed real-time monitoring, optimal resource utilization, and strict adherence to deadlines.

The new facility represents a milestone not only technologically but also economically: it creates over 100 new jobs and contributes in the long term to the development of the region.
