The headquarters of Banca Transilvania

The new headquarters of Banca Transilvania in the heart of Cluj-Napoca was delivered under a general-contracting agreement with KÉSZ Romania. The development has become one of the region’s landmark office projects, distinguished not only by its size, but also by its advanced technical solutions and outstanding sustainability performance.

One of the project’s distinctive features is the extensive use of exposed concrete with a wood-textured finish, which aesthetically defines the character of the building. As the contractor, we faced technical challenges such as the partial execution of post-tensioned slabs, as well as thermally activated slabs designed to support the heating and cooling systems. A large part of the electrical networks was integrated into the concrete structure. All of this required precise coordination and a continuous professional presence on site.

The functional diversity of the eight-story building is remarkable: it accommodates over 1,400 workstations, 30 meeting rooms, an amphitheater, kitchens, a restaurant and café, as well as charging stations for electric vehicles. The building also includes a three-level underground parking garage with 260 spaces.
In addition to the high complexity of execution, special attention was paid to environmental protection, as most of the materials used come from sustainable sources.

The building achieved a BREEAM score of 88.7%, placing it in the top 3% of the world’s most sustainable office buildings.
